I have been the head of the Craft Department at The Arvada Center for several years now. The amount of skills that fall under the crafts umbrella is vast. I have done everything from millinery to cobbling. I have worked extensively with FOSSHAPE, wonderflex, friendly plastic, leather, buckram, etc… I also airbrush, silk paint, and distress many costumes. I love the freedom you have in craftwork, my job was to keep the designer happy. They give me a picture and I make it out of whatever material is the most appropriate for the job. There are constantly new products being developed, constantly changing. I love it.
